Comments about Columbia Alpine Alliance Interchange 3-in-1 Insulated Jacket - Women's:
It's the warmest coat I've ever owned--and I'm always cold, but never in this coat! I love the versatility, so many options with two layers.

Comments about Columbia Alpine Alliance Interchange 3-in-1 Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I purchased this coat for a business trip to Edmonton, Canada in January. I knew we had to walk from the hotel to the worksite and this coat kept me warm in -40 wind chill. After opening the underarm vents, it was even comfortable walking around indoors. For a ski jacket, its surprising stylish and have gotten several compliments. Additionally, b/c the insulating layer is faux down, it stuffs into suprisingly small spaces in a suitcase.

Comments about Columbia Alpine Alliance Interchange 3-in-1 Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I am a beginner skier. I skied in this jacket twice in Utah and twice in New England. It was snowing like crazy in Utah and I was able to stay VERY warm in this jacket. I only wore a tank top and thermal long sleeve under the jacket because the jacket has the 3-in-1 layers. It's really nice that the outer shell detaches from the inner jacket - the inner jacket is white with black details so its good to wear out and about walking around.
I am 5'4" and 130lbs. and I bought an extra small. The small was a bit long in the arms. The XS is definitely a tighter fit in the core area, so if you like extra room or feel like wearing a thin fleece layer under the jacket (even tho u wouldnt need it!) i would recommend the small and sticking to your normal size.
Only downside is the snow guard is in the outer shell so you ahve to detach the inner shell in order to use it.

Comments about Columbia Alpine Alliance Interchange 3-in-1 Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I love this jacket. It fits me great, and it isn't too bulky for as warm as it is. I love the fact that when you zip it all the way up, it doesn't bunch up or get uncomfortable under your chin, yet keeps you completely warm. Maybe this is just me, but I feel like the hood is built to accommodate having your hair up in a bun or such, without pulling it away from your face too much. I wore it snowboarding and was never too hot or too cold because of the awesome vents (I usually end up getting sweaty on the slopes, and then freeze on the lifts). I wear the shell as a raincoat, and it isn't too bulky, and still considerably warm, and the liner is also great for cool days. I use one or the other almost every day. It also fits great over a larger chest without feeling constricted, or having to go up a size.

Got this for my fiancee and she loves it. Actually bought it at a store so she tried on several. Very Warm and really likes the zip out liner. The liner has thumb hole inserts that are sewn in. Very nice feature.

Comments about Columbia Alpine Alliance Interchange 3-in-1 Insulated Jacket - Women's:
Bought this while on a trip in the Pacific Northwest and found myself unprepared for the winter cold and wetness, but also needed my purchase to work for me when I returned to snowy Michigan. Love the flexibility of this jacket with the option to wear the lightweight shell if its just rainy or wear the shell plus the inner jacket. It's definitely a more fitted jacket, which I like- ordered a small and it's a touch snug on the hips but otherwise fine (I normally wear a 4 or 6 in women's sizes and am 5'-7"). Love the sleeve with the thumb hole to keep your hands warm when you're not wearing gloves. Definitely worth the money for all the details that are incorporated.

Comments about Columbia Alpine Alliance Interchange 3-in-1 Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I bought this coat about a month ago. Mainly I have worn the outer shell. I have worn the complete coat twice during frosty mornings. It is extremely warm. On chilly days the outer shell is perfect. I commute via bus, so there are times when I am standing outside during cold, windy, and/or wet weather, this coat has not disappointed. My only complaint is minor. I use Bose earbuds to listen to music on my iphone. The pocket is great for this purpose. However the cords catch on some of the buttons or flaps at the top of the coat, creating tugging. But this is a very minor issue because my goal was warmth and the coat definitely delivers on this.

Comments about Columbia Alpine Alliance Interchange 3-in-1 Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I purchased this jacket about 2 weeks ago. I have worn the outer jacket more than the liner. However both are very warm together or apart. During a heavy rain, the outer jacket was great, I love the pockets and vent system. Definitley a great purchase that will benefit me for years.
