The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Eton FRX3 Radio:
This is a great little radio! I bought this to replace another Eton that sufferd an early demise in a lake. All in all its great, the sound is good for its size and really what can you expect. I spent a little more on this one cause I was really curious about the solar panel. It works pretty good its a slow charge as expected but it does charge the internal power. This thing does eat through batteries it uses AAA which is good cause most people now use them in their headlamps. I got about 8 hours at pretty high volume out of a fresh set, but at least you hve the solar and the crank just in case
I also like that you can plug in an iPod or other MP3 player into it and play that.
This is a great little radio I would totally get another.

Comments about Eton FRX3 Radio:
Great reception;
Solid construction;
Cranking grip not the best;
Doesn't hold my cranking / solar charge as much as the smaller version;
Better pick up and larger speaker than the smaller version.

Comments about Eton FRX3 Radio:
Everything about this radio has been carefully considered, except the switch that selects the radio bands (AM-->FM-->NOAA.) The switch is a tiny, too flexible, flimsy piece of plastic. It ships set on "AM" then after trying it out by setting it to the other bands, it cannot switch back to AM. So the primary function of this radio is seriously flawed.
The flashlight feature is a little dim. Handy, but store a real flashlight in your emergency kit.
I have not tried charging my iPhone with it yet, because as soon as I'm on my next trip to REI, I'll be returning this. It takes a charge from cranking and the solar panel just fine.
Service and delivery comments:
I called to place this order. While on the phone expressing interest and asking one question about another Eton product like this, they ran out. Then they had one available, then gone again. So I had to get this model. Delivery came quick.

Comments about Eton FRX3 Radio:
It works as it's supposed to. I just only started testing out the radio and all its features. After a 2 days worth of testing. Here's what I've found:
1) the solar charging works well
2) crank charging works. The handle seems sturdier than the older Solarlink models
3) phone charging works.
4) direct USB charging works.
5) Radio reception is pretty good.
6) it even comes with a lanyard!
The only thing missing from older models would to power this radio with an AC adapter. But that's a minor thing.
For an emergency radio and camp radio, I'd say it meets my needs.
