Comments about The North Face Free Thinker Shell Jacket - Women's - 2011 Closeout:

I got this jacket right before a weekend long ski trip. It was nice and bright (blue) so my friends could keep track of me and could stick together. The hood fit perfectly over my helmet! The skirt and wrist gaiters kept all the cold wind out (it got down to -8 below with wind chill at the foot of the mountain). Over all I was and am very happy with it (the color, fit, and pockets are all perfect)! Also, I had serveral people having jacket-envy everytime they saw me :)

Bought the coat as a ski shell and of course midwest winter coat. It is awesome. Keeps me warm and dri. Perfect fit. Much softer after washing per Goretex wash instructions.

Comments about The North Face Free Thinker Shell Jacket - Women's - 2011 Closeout:

This jacket is great. It was also an excellent deal. The nicest ski jacket I've ever owned. The sides are slimming and shape is great. Powder skirt is well designed. Only con, this is part of North Face's "Summit Series". It's a goretex jacket and North Face does not seem to make a complimentary pant that matches. Most of the Summit Series pants don't match and are not gore-tex. That's not REI's fault though.
