Comments about SmartWool Reversible Training Beanie:
I like this beanie because its thin and warm, I can wear it under a helmet while climbing and on trail work parties. Its merino so it doesn't itch, it breathes well and doesn't mind a bit of perspiration.

Comments about SmartWool Reversible Training Beanie:
This hat fits perfectly. I have a larger head (7 3/8"), and this one covers me from the bridge of my nose all the way to the base of my skull, and all of my ears. It's got enough tightness to stay put without giving me a headache. I'm bald, so most hats tend to slip off my head after a while, but not this one. It's also the perfect weight for running. I've never worn it just for warmth, but I imagine it would do great unless it's -20. I've washed it three times, and twice I accidentally put it in the dryer, and it's shrunk a TINY bit, but that's my fault. I'm probably going to order another since this one will be sweaty all the time. Highly recommended.

Comments about SmartWool Reversible Training Beanie:
My 2 most recent (and both lost) skull caps for use under my bicycle helmet were thin enough for the job, but neither covered my ears completely, nor were they quite warm enough in temperatures below about 40 degrees plus wind chill. Enter the Training Beanie. Thin enough to wear comfortably under my bike helmet, very warm and breathable, and doesn't overheat with harder exertion. Perfect for the job. Drying time is longer than synthetics, but it doesn't stink like synthetics, either. Worth the $$.

Comments about SmartWool Reversible Training Beanie:
I bought this beanie to use when running and training outside during these long Michigan winters. It is the perfect hat for this purpose. It is even nice to have the reversible two colors for when your whim requires a change. It is wonderfully light and surprisingly warm. It is not a heavy duty wool hat and it doesn't try to be. It does what wool does best, it keeps you warm, wicks moisture away and is lightweight. I would definitely recommend this item and all SmartWool clothing to boot.
