Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1 Tent - 2011 Closeout:
I usually hammock camp so I was looking at getting something for winter camping and to use in places hammocks just aren't an option. I contemplated on getting the flycreek ul1 but to me the weight savings wasn't enough to justify the added costs. My only complaint which is also something that I liked about it is the front entrance. I like that it makes for a smaller footprint, saves weight, and gives extra head room. but dis-like that it makes entry and changing a little more difficult and I don't think you could cook in the vestibule either. So depending on what matters to you this may or may not be a good fit for you.

Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1 Tent - 2011 Closeout:
For what I paid, and how I use it, I don't think I could have bought better, this is a tough little tent, it beats a bivy hands down for comfort to weight ratio. The bad is it comes without a footprint, but got lucky and found one for half price, and it makes setup even easier.

Comments about Big Agnes Seedhouse SL1 Tent - 2011 Closeout:
I used this tent for 10 days on a Grand Canyon float trip. I had to hike out all my gear so I went as light as I could. This is a decent, light one man tent for the price ([$]). There are several compromises with a one man (small vestibule, a little hard to get into & stay dry, not super roomy) but one must expect these things with this type of tent. We had high winds and rain for a few nights and my only complaints are that it collected a good deal of fine sand through the mesh and it was pretty loud in the wind (I didn't use all the tie downs though). Stayed totally dry. Packs down fairly small and is lighter and higher quality than the REI Quarter Dome 1 man. The fly was easy to keep off the mesh and there was no condensation.
