Comments about The North Face Mountain Pants - Men's:
I bought these pants for back country skiing, even though I know they are a mountaineering pant. They are fairly slim fitting, which is good for tall, skinny folks. I can't rate durability after only 3-4 uses but the material and construction quality is very high. These are pretty warm pants, however! The lining varies form open mesh (legs) to solid knit (seat area) and it adds more insulation than I expected. My previous pants were Helly Hanson and had open mesh lining that did not insulate much at all. Venting by opening the leg zips works well. I read reviews before buying that complained about the suspenders, but after a couple adjustments I think they fit/work really well.

Everything about these was really nice. I especially appreciated the suspenders, the side zippers and the gators. The quality is really good too.

Comments about The North Face Mountain Pants - Men's:
I recently decided to go back out there and enjoy the beauties that Nature is offering on the East Coast. Now that I am more established in life, I decided to spend money on great gear and clothing to make my experience even more enjoyable. I saw these pants on sale and decided to give it a shot since they were part of the Summit Series from North Face, admittedly their top of the line products. What a good choice! I absolutely love these pants. I have been out a few times now, including a snowshoeing outing in - 5C weather plus at least another 5 below due to windchill. These pants made me feel very warm without any base layer...but I did not sweat either.
I am 6'1 with a 32W and the Medium size fits perfectly, with some room to spare around my waist.
Overall, really worth the money and I am looking forward to using these in more extreme conditions / activities.

Comments about The North Face Mountain Pants - Men's:
I would not call these a "ski pant"... That being said, I use these for winter climbing and hiking here in Colorado and I could not be happier with them.
