The North Face Meru is a wind- and waterproof jacket built to support fast-moving alpine endeavors. It's made from highly efficient and lightweight Gore-Tex® Active Shell fabric.

    I've had this jacket for about a month now and I've been very impressed with it's performance. I went snowboarding with the jacket, a fleece and a thermal in 20 degrees and I was nice and toasty the entire time! I got stuck in deep powder and had to dig myself out for 20 minutes and started to sweat, but the jacket breathed very well and I was dry in minutes.

    The jacket only has two pockets, but they are very large. I didn't give it 5 stars, because I wish it has inside zippers to zip my fleece into the jacket.
