Comments about Patagonia Snowbelle Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I love this jacket. It is stylish and great for Spring Skiing. It just does not have the insulation one would expect from Patagonia.
I got it on clearance so I still think it was a good buy but would not pay full price.

Comments about Patagonia Snowbelle Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I have taken this jacket snowboarding 3 times since I got it. This jacket is not too hot/cool and leaves some room for layering. I would highly recommend this jacket.

Comments about Patagonia Snowbelle Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I was skeptical. Being a big fan of down, I was impressed with this new insulating material. I'm always cold. Granted, it wasn't zero degrees on the mountain the first day I tried it; out and I layered like crazy..."It's about your system"...but this coat performed. Halfway through our day, freezing rain came down. So, I just with is was a bit longed over the butt so when I sat on the chair lift I had some extra protection.

Comments about Patagonia Snowbelle Insulated Jacket - Women's:
I really wanted to like this jacket, and was willing to overlook the 1985 hot turquoise color (very different from the muted shade online), but the collar is so tall and stiff, I felt like Elizabethean royalty posing for my portrait...It doesn't fold down when the jacket is partly open, it doesn't stay close to the neck when zipped up (and comes all the way up to my lips, this in medium and I'm 5'8) and it is rough and, well, not nice.
This is probably why it's on sale. And why I had to return it.

Comments about Patagonia Snowbelle Insulated Jacket - Women's:
For the past several years, I've been skiing in a softshell jacket with various base layers. It's incredibly comfortable, but not particularly warm. The Snowbelle jacket is soft to the touch, moves well, and isn't terribly loud -- while also providing better wind and water protection and a bit of insulation. I also tried the Snowbelle 3-in-1, but I felt this version was more comfortable and better suited my needs for, essentially, a lightly insulated shell.
A few fit notes: I am 5'4", 115lbs -- technically an XS by my measurements. But I also have broad, muscular shoulders and long arms. The S is a much better fit, not baggy but with enough room that I can comfortably layer it over a t-shirt, my REI Nevis jacket, or anything in between, depending on the weather. I love the extra length in the sleeves, but if you have short arms, you might feel differently. It also has a nice, high collar -- with goggles, a helmet, and the hood up, the only part of my face showing is my nose.
