I have been in Minnesota for a couple of decades, it's generally a dry cold. When I found I was going to Belgium for a year I thought I would need a coat that could handle wet cold weather. This is definitely it. The weather here has been in the 40's and down to 30's in October. I haven't really had to even use the liner yet. ( remember I am Minnesotan) The liner looks good on its own. I love the versatility of this coat. I will be able to use it in Minnesota too. This coat will easily take me into the teens with a sweeter underneath. It is great for travel. It compresses into nothing. I like the longer length for the relentless cold rain. I have had to walk A LOT here and I am well protected.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
