      This case is very rugged. At first I thought it'd be kind of a generic fit, but it seems almost perfectly tailored to an iPad2 with an Apple smart cover. A bandana or screen cleaning cloth could fit in on top too. At first I figured I'd use it only when taking it out of the house, but I like how easy it slips in and the latch opens and closes smoothly, so it's effortless to take it around the house and pop it out right when you need it. It really up-armors the iPad without making it constantly bulky, like the Griffin Survivor or the M-Edge nerf-like case. I can bring it in the car and put it under a seat or in the trunk w/o worrying about it getting crunched, or put it in a generic carry-on bag, and just slip it into a plane's seat pocket, and not worry about the crud in the pocket getting in the ports. I just got it, so I don't really know how it'll do long term. I'll award another star later if all goes well. I'm pretty confident that Pelican products are pretty durable since that seems to be their no.1 claim to fame.
