      Bought this as a warm layer for under my rain shell while hiking. Jacket is very warm, heat reflective lining and down get the job done. Got caught in a light rain and although it is not waterproof (will just soak the water up) I stayed toasty.
      Runs a little big and sleeves tend to stick out a few inches past my outer shells.

      This is a great all around jacket. It's warm enough to wear on its own for running around town in cold weather conditions. I layer a thin fleece underneath for hikes in cold weather (15 F) and have always been warm enough. It's packable and light - great purchase!

      I wear this as my liner to my Columbia ski shell. I love wearing it to and from workouts since it is light but keeps me warm. I have not worn it in the rain much, besides from my house to my car, but I definitely don't think of it as water proof.

      The only problem is that there is portions of the inside that is coming out. I'm not sure what to call it exactly but if it were filled with down, it would be the feathers coming out. Whatever material is inside has started to 'leak' in a sense.

      I was very happy with my purchase. I bought it before a camping trip that entailed 30F weather. I was concerned about whether I should buy a Med over Large because I knew I would be wearing several layers underneath. Even with two mid-layers on underneath, this jacket still fit me well in a Med, and never hampered my hiking or movements. I would definitely buy more products with the Omni heat lining. Plus, it was super cute! I bought the turquoise jacket.

      This was a Christmas present for my daughter who goes to college in Boston. She loves it! She is 5'3" & usually wears small, but I bought the medium so she could wear her thicker sweaters, too. She loves the thumb holes in the inner sleeve. It's light-weight but keeps her warm. She's always cold, so warmth was something I was looking for, and I didn't want to pay the price for a down version. Great blue color, too.

        I wore this for an early morning run (5:45am temps in the high 20's ) wearing underneath it only a short sleeve technical shirt. My core body temp was very comfortable, my arms did get quite warm. When I took off the jacket my arms nor my shirt were not wet with persperation at all- which I take to be a good thing! Overall I am happy with the jacket. If I could add or change two things it would be: 1.Add a double zipper 2. Convertable/ zip off sleeves would be a good idea.

          I own last year's version of this. I have a long torso, but I can move around without having to worry about a draft of cold air on my waist. It's a great jacket, it works through a great temperature range, handles light rain well. Wears well, washes well.

          If you are going to be very physically active (skiing or running) the omniheat can make you overheat. But for walking, around town biking, and light activity it's great.

          The cuff that it comes with was too tight, and I didn't like it, so I just cut that part out, and now it's perfect.

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
