    The Yakima DoubleDown Ace 2 bike rack gives you the best of both worlds by safely transporting up to 2 bikes, and then providing easy access to your vehicle.

    • Installation to vehicle is a breeze and requires no tools; rack locks to hitch for security

        This rack replaces a 12 year old Yakima rack that the cradles had worn out on. By the time I bought all of the items needed to replace the cradles, it made more sense to get a new rack. I'm so glad I did! This rack is lighter, rock solid and I LOVE the simple knob that lowers the mast to access my side swing rear door on my new RAV4. Great rack and I couldn't be happier with it.

          I LOVE this bike rack! Yes, attach it to your hitch prior to attaching the arm. An extra set of hands and your own ratchet and wrench make for an easy installation. I have an Acura MDX and had no issues with installation or fit. The locking mechanism is a great feature and an improvement from earlier models. I am a student and have been tossing my bike in the back for the off campus parking commute. I got tired of always having a seat down, its hard on my bike to always lay on its side, and the back of my seat was getting very dirty. I cycle as well, but have yet to mount that bike. I'm sure it will work out great. Like I said ... I should have bought it sooner!

            Very nice rack. We've used it for about a month now and it appears to be built very well. Holds a mens and womens specific frame with plenty of room to keep them from banging together. A little pricey but you get a great product that should last a long time.
            I wish it came with the integrated lock. I picked one up after using the rack for a couple of weeks. A nice addition.

                    Picked this up in preparation for a 3000 mile trip, and our previous mount didn't sit comfortably with me on a long trip. This is a very well built unit, although it does sit a little higher than I would like, which takes more visibility out of my rearview mirror.

                    I had some difficulty installing - I see they have added an important tip on the website instructions that aren't on the ones in the pack. Install the hitch FIRST, and mount it while on the vehicle. I had a difficult time aligning the bolt holes and then couldn't get the mount to lock in the upright position. Once I did, I had to use a hammer to free the latch to unlock it again. All of this became easier when on the vehicle, although the latch to lower the rack is still extremely difficult to disengage without some effort.

                    The dial design for installation is a breeze, and provides a very sturdy mount. The locking mechanism works great. I recommend an added cable system, as none in included. The straps were initially fairly hard to install, but after just a couple of uses they've gotten easier and do a great job of locking the bikes down.

                    Very impressed so far and I'm completely confident that it will take both of our bikes anywhere we need to go this summer.
