    When I bought these shoes at the REI Outlet, I was so excited to see that they had a size 9.5. My old trail runners have seen better days. I loved that these had a Vibram sole to help protect and cushion against the rocky North Cascades.I gladly placed my order and was waiting impatiently for them to get here! I was so bummed when I tried them on. These shoes run quite small. I always order up a 1/2 size to account for thick hiking socks. I couldn't even put these on with thick socks. They are very light for a hiking shoe. They seem comfy enought that I would even consider wearing them to my job as a RN. They appear to be rugged with good lugs and the Vibram sole, but I can't say for sure since sadly, I have to return them. Since these shoes seem to run narrow, I'm not certain they would work well with orthotics/inserts.

    I would recommend them for their weight, Vibram sole and flexibility. Just keep in mind the sizing issue. I just wish they were available here in the next size up.

    Service and delivery comments:

    My order arrived quickly, as usual! REI generally rocks in this area! I will need to return them. Rather than shipping them back, I will return them to the store with my dividend in hand. A good excuse for another visit to REI. REI is always GREAT with returns.
