Comments about Zoot Otec Road-Running Shoes - Men's - 2011 Closeout:
I really, really wanted to like these shoes. They slip on fast, the tongue stays in place, I like the design of the laces over the foot. Overall a 9.5 in ease of wear. I tried to break them in over several days of light wear and then a short run. BUT, after my first 4.5 mile run, I hurt. My arch started hurting at about mile 3 and later that morning my knee was in pain. I have 18 years of running for the Army and used to buy cheap shoes. I now have semi-recurring runner's knee and planar fasciitis. I so wanted to like them. Maybe they're good gym shoes.

Comments about Zoot Otec Road-Running Shoes - Men's - 2011 Closeout:
I tried these shoes out b/c they were on sale and have been pleasently surprised by their quality.
These shoes have held up well over the course of 6+ months, running on average 70 miles per month (mostly on paved surfaces). The tread on them is finally gone and beginning to peal and a hole on top of where my toes lay is beginning to form.
Overall, have been happy with these shoes - lightweight, breathable, fit my feet very comfortably, and good quality.
