I love this watch. I would usually not pay this much for a watch, actually never have. But I had a nice dividend and figured why not? I originally bought the Swiss Army Original, which on their site is listed under "active." It was not. So decided to try this beauty and ordered it online. It is solidly built, accurate and the added alarm (which does not really take away from the classic look, due to the elegant integration,) is reliable and a bonus feature. It is relatively light for everything in the watch and very comfortable. I have slept with it on several times simply because I forgot I was wearing it. I plan on using this as my daily watch and will come with me for hiking, backpacking and travel. I have hiked once with it so far and it seems like it will be up to the task. I also fly fish, so the benefit of full waterproofing is perfect. And even though I usually rise early when I camp, the alarm, I cannot stress enough is a wonderful addition, especially if you are waking up at 3am to climb one of Colorado's 14ers, to get off before the storms. So it acts as an added comfort blanket. So far I'm thoroughly impressed, but will report back after I put her through her paces a bit more.

I really liked the features of this watch and that is what made me select this model. I did not know much about Momentum so I checked online reviews which seemed positive and promising. The dual time, analog, alarm watch had just about every feature I wanted but the watch failed to perform.

The watch did not keep accurate time; it lost several minutes and had to be reset to the correct time weekly which was a significant downfall...what's the purpose of a watch if it doesn't keep accurate time.

Thankfully REI has an excellent return policy, so I returned the watch after having it a month. I ended up going with an entirely different brand of watch, a Citizen Eco-Drive Atomic watch from a different retailer and it is a fantastic watch; also, it was about $100 less.

Unfortunately, Momentum did not perform and I would not recommend this watch to anyone. I do not know if the problems were because of the new model or if it is all of the Momentum watches.
