Great purse. First bought this purse in red a couple of years ago, and have used it every day since. Very durable material - only recently the strap clasp gave out. Size wise - not too big, not too small. Love the red color. Happy to find that it's still being offered, but unfortunately looks like it's now on close-out.

I initially purchased this handbag from Ebags, for airline travel and traveling overseas. But, I ended up wearing this handbag daily. I noticed today that this handbag was a "deal of the day" here on REI and I had to purchase another one for backup. I've been using the deep taupe color one, and just purchased a black one. I love this handbag, and it makes me feel very safe carrying this one compared to other handbags I used in the past. In addition to this handbag, I use wallets that contain the RFID blocking technology preventing hackers that try to pick up personal information from your credit cards, passports and driver's licenses. PacSafe has since started to sell most of their new product line of handbags with the RFID technology, and that's probably the reason these are marked down.The interior pockets and organizing area is perfect for me, as I use the credit card sleeves for extra camera batteries and cell phone batteries and a credit card all purpose tool set. There's room for a large wallet and checkbook, and 2 interior zippered pockets with plenty of room.I especially enjoy using the outside zippered full length pocket to keep documents, grocery list, guides writing paper, etc. When you lock the main compartment, you can still use the full size zippered pocket without exposing your valuables. So, I keep small currency and a little change in that outside compartment so when I need to pay for something like a simple sandwich and drink, I don't have to enter the main compartment. I generally just drape the strap over my shoulder for everyday use, but when I'm traveling in unfamiliar places, I strap it across my chest, where I have full access to everything inside hands-free.I definitely recommend this handbag. I also purchased this when the 20% off REI member sale was going on also, and final price [$] :)
