Comments about Saris Axis Steel 2-Bike Hitch Rack:
Very flimsy that causes bike to sway, big concern on bumpy roads. Does not fit tight into the 2" hitch. Bike and rack sway so much that motorists stop to tell me about the swaying and concerned the bike will fall off. REI has checked it and they too agree it is very loose. One of the plastic screws that holds rack up never tightens. Arms sit on a plastic grooved bar. Only good feature is that it is light and easy to tilt and take off. Fits too high and hard to lift bike onto rack. Strap that holds the bike frame under seat hard to tighten and loosen. Only carry 1 bike 5 miles. Would not feel safe going any further or carrying 2 bikes.
