Comments about SunCloud King Polarized Sunglasses:
I bought these at REI and I had them for about a year. They lasted through a pretty good hiking season and I really enjoyed them; however, the sunglasses did not last as long as I would have liked. Here is the issue I had. The rubber nose pads started to wear off within a month after purchase. The pads are held in place by some type of adhesive. When hiking, running outside, or just wearing the sunglasses casually, the rubber and accompanying adhesive would rub off. This would leave a gooey substance on my nose and left accompanying black spots on my nose. I thought that this was merely a surface coating. After a while, the pads fell apart completely and exposed the plastic underneath. The more I wore them, the more black residue that was on my nose.
I wish that I could have kept the sunglasses and that SunCloud sold replacement pads, but REI told me to just return the item instead. As a result, I return the SunCloud glasses and got a pair of Switch ones instead. I really do miss my SunClouds. I hope that the company fixes the issue with the rubber nose pads. There is nothing good about wearing sunglasses to an event, taking them off, having nobody say anything, and not noticing that your nose has two, dime-sized, black marks on them until you go to the restroom. It makes me wonder if people thought I broke my nose :P
