The Merrell Refuge Core Mid Ventilator Waterproof hiking boots offer tough materials, cushioning and light pronation control for comfort as you tick through the miles.
- Nubuck and pig suede leather uppers are supple, lightweight and durable; Strobel construction provides flexibility and comfort out of the box
- Waterproof breathable membranes keep the rain and snow out, yet are breathable to keep feet comfortable
- Protective toe bumpers ensure durability and abrasion resistance; external heel counters increase stability
- Bellowed tongues help keep debris out; heel loops aid entry and exit
- Synthetic linings wick moisture away from feet
- Dual-density EVA midsoles supply cushioning and light support to discourage overpronation; Air Cushion heel pockets provide extra shock absorption under heels
- Injection-molded nylon arch shanks stabilize and support feet on uneven terrain
- Rugged Vibram® outsoles feature sticky rubber and deep 5mm lugs for stability and traction on various surfaces

I wear these hiking/walking(5 miles)nearly everyday. They are light and give nice support. Great on trails. The waterproofing materials of the boot made them a little snug. Changing to a thinner insole fixed that.
