The Tern Link Uno folding bike is a quick-folding, agile-handling, all-arounding single-speed ride that's well-suited to exploring boroughs and towns.

Capable of folding in under 10 seconds, the Link Uno is a study in simplicity and ease; folded dimensions are 31.1 x 28.3 x 14.1 in.
Strong 6061 aluminum frame is designed to minimize flex and deliver a stiff, responsive platform for efficient transfer of your pedaling energy
OCL Joint frame hinge provides a strong, stiff frame joint that offers smooth, easy operation; large, smooth lever automatically locks into place
When frame is folded in half, the frame hinge surfaces lock together for a secure fit; lever folds flat and braces against joint for protection in transit

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Comments about Tern Link Uno Folding Bike - 2012:

I tried this one out and it does ride & fold nicely. However, for $100 less you can get the Tern Link D8 with 8speeds, which comes in handy if you ever have to ride uphill, comes with a rear rack and more color choices too. After trying this one out I was impressed with Tern and special ordered the Link D8 through REI and am very happy with it. I'd recommend the Uno only if you live someplace flat like Florida where you'll never need gears.
