Comments about Mountain Hardwear Raven 2 Tent - 2011 Closeout:
I really like the general design of this tent. It has great headroom and ventilation. But I'll be returning it due to the drawbacks.
This tent is very small compared to most 2-person tents. There's no way two people could sleep in this, especially given the tapered foot.
Mt Hardwear makes very solid tents, including this one. The trade off is that it's heavy at 5 lbs 9 oz packed weight. That's too heavy for just 28 s ft.
The doors are fairly small. Two out of the three pockets are so tiny that you literally can't get your hand in them.
A major problem I had is that the tent MUST be staked, because the poles bend forcefully in at the bottom, so you can't spread the floor out. That turned out to be tedious in rocky soil.
