Comments about Marmot Cirrus 3-in-1 Component Jacket - Women's - 2011 Closeout:
I just received the Marmot Women's Cirrus 3 in 1 jacket, and was very disappointed. I had bought a similar jacket for my son a few years back, liked what I saw since it seemed a quality piece of gear, and have thought the versatility of a 3 in 1 would also work well for me, but this jacket was not of the same caliber.
First, it is sized peculiarly. I normally always wear a medium (5'8"/135) pounds, but ordered a large as I wanted to be able to wear a lightweight down jacket underneath it. Even without the wearing it with the down jacket, it seemed small. The sleeves were somewhat short, not exactly tight, but uncomfortable across the back, very strange on a garment sized as a large. Marmot's sleeve lengths are usually perfect for me. The fleece liner was the thinnest, cheapest fleece I've ever seen in a garment of this price. It was almost as thin as a heavy tee-shirt, and looked to be the substandard kind of fleece that pills and falls a part.
The jacket overall looked to be poorly constructed, especially the fleece component. The seam across the back of the fleece jacket collar was sewn crookedly, and the front of the hood on the shell was not symmetrical. All in all, the jacket seemed cheaply made. Not at all what I would have expected from Marmot. I thought I was getting a great deal, as it turns out, it would have be much, much cheaper for me to even consider keeping it.

Comments about Marmot Cirrus 3-in-1 Component Jacket - Women's - 2011 Closeout:
Great product from Marmot yet again. It is light and breathable YET water and windproof. The fact that it is 3-in-1 makes it very versatile. I can wear it in cold weather, then unzip the fleece lining and wear the shell for lighter days or when I go biking or light hiking. Only problems I have is that I can't figure out how to roll up the hood to keep it out of the way when I don't need it. And the length is a bit short (right to top of my hip) which is deceiving in the picture. Would recommend.
