The GEIGERRIG Rig 500 hydration pack offers an innovative, "suck-free" approach to accessing the contents of its 70 fl. oz. reservoir; plus, it offers plenty of gear capacity and sturdy construction.

Other hydration reservoirs require that you suck on a tube to get a drink; the GEIGERRIG reservoir can be pressurized with the included pressure bulb
Pressure bulb inflates a secondary compartment within the reservoir, which, as it is inflated, pushes water out through the bite valve
As a result, you don't have to suck on anything to quench your thirst—just open your mouth and let fly
Pressurized, 70 fl. oz. reservoir features a slide top and quick-release valves on the drinking tube and pressurization tube for easy refills, removal, cleaning and drying
Ventilated and padded back panel, padded and mesh-backed shoulder straps and removable hipbelt offer comfortable carrying

I purchased this pack for mountain biking. The pressurized bladder seemed like a great idea, until I found my right leg was soaking wet from the mouthpiece dripping. It does have an on/off switch, but you can't use it without stopping your ride. The inflated bladder takes up more room and hinders the fit against my back. This pack seems to bounce and slosh more than the osprey and camelbak. I guess I will use it for day hikes. There are better designed packs for mountain biking.

I do a lot of snowboarding and some of the best stuff you can find involves a bit of a hike. If you've ever hiked in the snow, you know it's quite a work out, and when you finally reach your destination at the top of that mountain, the last thing you want to do is try and suck water out of a tube. With the giegerrig,, the thing freakin sprays! It's unbelievable! I can't believe it's taken this long for something like this to come out. Touche on this great product.
