Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Long - 2011 Closeout:
I've used my Sawtooth Long about 60 nights & have been very happy with it's performance for the $. It's long enough for guys up to 6'6" and roomy enough to roll around in without being constrictive or compressing the down. It's so warm, I usually unzip it & use it as a quilt. But when the temps drop below 30 degrees, I can zip it up & crank down the contoured hood & the neck of the bag (one drawstring is round, one is flat so you can feel which one you're adjusting) and stay toasty warm. Temp rating seem right - I'm a cold sleeper, but I've never been cold in this bag. Detailing is spot-on! I'm normally pretty picky about my gear, but I have no significant issues with this bag.
Again - there are some bags out there that are lighter, more compressible, and maybe a bit higher quality than the Sawtooth, but I would have had to pay twice as much for them. Not worth it IMO. If you're on a limited budget, need a relatively warm bag with a bit of extra room, this bag is unbeatable.

Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Long - 2011 Closeout:
I don't have much experience with sleeping bags but I took this one to Mt Whitney in early September and I was sweating in it all night. It snowed that night yet I was burning up. The bag was wet with condensation and sweat. It does pack super light and small and comes with a small stuff bag to carry with you on your backpack. It was not as comfortable as it looked when I slept in it despite using a pad underneath. The only real complaint I had with it was how hot it was and that might be a PRO with someone else...I think my body tends to be on the hot side. I just ordered a Plasma 40 from Marmot...we'll see how that does. One very annoying problem was the zipper...it got stuck every time.

Comments about Marmot Sawtooth +15 Sleeping Bag - Long - 2011 Closeout:
Had this thing out in 15 degrees, 30mph wind, blizzard over the weekend. It is true to temp. Keep in mind that all temps are rated assuming you have a good baselayer and a good head covering. I was in a hammock with a thermarest pad and I stayed warm all night. Great bag.
