Lightweight Flash aluminum frame features a geometry that's designed to offer race-inspired, nimble handling; 1.5 in. headtube improves strength, stiffness and handling
Rear stays are shaped to help smooth out trail chatter and enhance rolling speed, acceleration and handling
BB30 bottom bracket shell design increases stiffness for improved power transfer
Cannodale Fatty DLR 80 suspension fork delivers 80mm of travel to smooth out trails and obstacles
Drivetrain features SRAM X7 shifters and rear derailleur as well as a Shimano Deore front derailleur to ensure quick, precise movement through the 27 gears
Hayes Ryde Comp hydraulic disc brakes make use of 160mm rotors to ensure your speed management is easy, smooth and powerful
Maddux DC3.0 rims are outfitted with Kenda Slant 6 tires for all-terrain handling and traction

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Comments about Cannondale Flash 3 Bike - 2011:

This is a great bike, it's lightweight, the components are good, and it handles like a dream. The (FATTY) head shock is amazingly smooth, and easy to adjust. The only thing i would change would be the brakes. The Hays Ryde brakes work well, but it seems like the Avid Juicy Threes that I had on my old F4 had more stopping power.

All in all this is a great bike, built for tearing up single track, climbing, and overall having a great time on a great bike.
