Comments about Tectron Water Repellent Spray for Apparel:
Yes, this stuff smells toxic, so I apply it outdoors and upwind, but the smell goes away once the garment dries completely.
2 things to remember- you really have to soak the garment to get the DWR to apply, and a second coat a couple days after it's dried (as recommended on the bottle) is a very good idea. You are not going to get the advertised 50 sq ft of coverage the bottle claims, that's for sure.
My TNF ski bibs are water repellent again. Time will tell how long this stuff works, but at this point they are even more repellent than when I bought them!

This product smells like you're spraying WD-40 all over your expensive rain gear.

Comments about Tectron Water Repellent Spray for Apparel:
I've tried pretty much every waterproofing product out there and this one is the best for items that cannot be tumble dried. People don't realize that most waterproof items (such as gore-tex) can and need to be tumble dried to restore a good dwr when using waterproofing products, especially the wash in type. Look at your care tag! If it can go through the tumble drier, do it, the heat helps bond the fabric and restore dwr. My shell cannot be tumble dried and ironing doesn't do the job for other products. This one has been the most effective for restoring the original dwr.
