This is my third Buzz and I love it. The components are great quality and it essentially flies. Exploring the city is very comfortable on a bike that rolls forever :-D It's super easy to put miles behind you comfortably in any clothing and footwear. I didn't think the hydraulic brakes on this newest model were necessary but man, they are ULTRA smooth and a great compliment to an excellent bike. I added the SKS P45 fenders (awesome), a Selle Italia Max Gel (a bit stiff but ok) saddle and attempted a Planet Bike eco rack which didn't fit. I've never had a rack on a Buzz and have always used a small backpack (Osprey Flap Jack which rocks) for daily get around (no car required). I'll ride this Buzz for 3 years and then upgrade to the next gen - thanks so much REI for putting out an EXCELLENT and AFFORDABLE bike :-) Highly recommended for The Middle Way of biking :-)

***update*** - the Planet Bike eco rack fit fine after I researched installation a bit more. I couldn't edit my previous review and didn't want mis-info floating around out there about the rack. It's a great fit with no rattle so far. I bolted the rack over three washers and the SKS P45 fender mounts in a single connection to the frame. This configuration gave plenty of room for the hydraulic brake line. Looks pretty groovy too :-)

Nice fit and quick ride in lower gears in traffic and around a city setting.

I wanted a hybrid with road gearing to ride rails-to-trails faster than a mountain bike but upper gears seem slow or sluggish but not bad, just not made for the desired purpose. Nice bike overall though.
