Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's:
I'm 5'10", 160lbs, 41" chest and bought a small, which fits well and moves well thanks to the angel wing shoulders. It sits at my upper hip and fits snugly but comfortably if I'm wearing a sweatshirt underneath, and comfortably if it's just a single layer underneath. Excellent warmth that you'd expect from down, and I've found myself wearing it more often as an exterior layer in mild and even cold(-5F to 35F) temperatures than as an under-shell layer, as I'd expected to (although it's great for that, too).
Some water resistance, but obviously it's not meant to be waterproof for a significant length of time. For light to mild snow in cold weather, though, it's fine for several hours. Wind resistance is much better than I would have expected; I've been comfortable even in ~25mph winds with wind chill to ~0F. I wore this walking around Oslo, Norway for a week when the high temperature was <15F the entire time, and didn't once feel cold.
Jacket packs well into its own pocket.
Cons: the outer fabric is somewhat delicate. I have yet to scratch it, but I could imagine it happening if I'm not careful. And although it's 800 fill, it still isn't quite as packable or as light as one of the many down "sweaters" out there - but then, if that's what you're looking for, I suggest you buy one specifically. It's not designed to be breathable, per se, either - but again, that's just down. It's insulation for a reason.
All in all, a warm, comfortable jacket that works well as a standalone piece on dry or mild cold days, or exceptionally well as an insulating layer with shell for the truly nasty stuff.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's:
Overall, a great jacket. I got it on sale. Might have been a little less satified had I paid full price. This is my second Marmot down jacket. My first one is very warm, but makes me look like the Michelin Man. I like the lower profile of the Zues and it compresses down better than my other jacket. It's not as warm thou. I'll be testing it winter camping in two weeks. We'll see.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's:
i've been looking for something like this f-o-r-e-v-e-r! as a 6'1'' woman, i have a hard time finding something long enough, that's not also bulky, so i'm frequently shopping in men's smalls. i live in santa fe and the weight is perfect for hiking on the mountain or hanging in town. i can wear it alone or layer it. perfect.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's:
This jacket is amazingly warm for it's weight and size. I have to wear it with the zipper mostly undone except for when I am in the coldest of conditions. I get a lot of compliments on the appearance, too. It is a very nice looking jacket.

I got this ~3 wks ago. really a great design. it's comfortable, extremely lightweight, and WARM (even @20F with winds @15-20mph). I admit I'm a little cautious bc it feels so fragile. I do see an occasional feather sticking out so take note. advise using a shell for wet weather. I do suggest adding a chest pocket (similar to the marmot zeus halfzip) and would love to have a removable hood.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's:
Easily modulates temperature by opening and closing the main zipper. Pockets are appropriate size and shape. Would be nice to have more specialized pockets for keys or phone, but not critical.
Great fit (medium, 6'1", 190 lbs).
Haven't owned enough to comment on durability, but so far perceived quality is high! Would definitely buy again.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's:
Ive used this in -30F windchill under a shell and it kept me very comfortable. Base layer, Zeus and shell are all you will ever need in any condition. By itself it is warm in 10F weather with a tshirt underneath. Fully zipped the collar is cozy around the neck. It doesnt seem too rugged I think due to the fact that it is very light weight. I feel I have to be very careful with it snagging things and ripping. Like previous reviewer said its a great pillow while sleeping.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's:
This jacket is too light to be warm in temps below 45, or below, when worn alone. I tested it recently, and compared it to the REI revelcloud jacket, the REI spruce run jacket, and the Marmot 800 down pocketless sweater (same as this jacket except no pockets). The Marmot Zeus down sweater, with no pockets, was warmest, and the clear winner in my subjective comparison. It seemed to have more down.
The spruce run jacket came in second palace. It was a bit warmer than the Zeus jacket. The relecloud jacket was slighly less warm than this particular Zeus jacket, but layred under it, it had superb heat retention.
I think they may have under-stuffed the Zeus jacket at the factory. I'm going to take it back for a replacement, and see if my jacket has a manufacturing defect. If its not a factory defect, then I would say to go with a slighly heavier down jacket which will be more versetile. I will finish this review when my ivestigation is over. So long for now.

Comments about Marmot Zeus Down Jacket - Men's:
Bought this jacket 3 years ago. It has been to High Sierras, Big Bend, and other hikes and always does its job. Super-lightweight, but warm from 30 - 50 degrees, and great in wind and drizzle.
At night it goes into a Thermarest sleeping pad stuff sack to form a wonderful pillow in my tent.
Performs, dual purpose, what more could I ask.
