I gave up on bike shoes because of the pain I used to get on the outside of my foot. But after reading the previous review I thought I'd give them another shot. My first ride - 5 hours - was pain free. Amazing! Ya, they are a bit on the heavy side but for a well made, comfortable shoe at a nice price I'll just view it as training weight. :-) Thanks!

I am a female who buys men's shoes because I have wide feet. These fit great. My first ride on them was over 3 hours long with no comfort issues. They are definitely on the heavy side because of a bomber sole that is great for hike-a-bikes and I'm sure will hold up well. I may end up getting a lighter shoe for racing and use these for recreation.
