by rust and rosesfromVery dissapointing!I purchased these to replace what I thought was a similar pair of Marmot gloves, which I loved and had used for several seasons in varying conditions, but that I had lost. The day after I bought them I wore them snowshoeing on a rather cold day, and found them to be so ineffective, I had to be bailed out by a (fortunately) much more prepared fellow hiker, who provided me with a decent pair of mittens and handwarmers, after I literally lost all sensation in my hands. Since then I have found these gloves to even be inadequate for scraping frost off of the car and driving too work. At least I bought them on clearance, and I can see why they were on sale.

by maldito gatofromStylish and well contructedWe bought these gloves for my wife a few weeks back. She was looking for some relatively low profile gloves to wear to and from work as the days get colder. These gloves look great, seem well constructed, and were reasonably priced compared to other options at our REI.
She's very happy with the gloves, but has felt the chill creep in after an hour outside at 50 degrees. Clearly, we can't expect a super warm AND lightweight glove, so she's happy with the trade off.
The last thing to note is that there is very little grippy stuff on the palm of these gloves. They are great for driving, pushing a stroller, walking through a winter wonderland, but no more.
