    Comments about Brunton Double-Back LED Light:

    I found this light in the bike light section of REI while looking for a small and cheap white light to mount to my helmet for night time riding compliance. It's bad enough trying to find keys and stow a U lock+cable at the end of the day that I didn't want to have to be futzing around looking for my light as well.

    Unlike the rest of the bike lights this size, this one is nearly flat on it's underside instead of being molded to fit handlebars or seat tubes. I pulled the stretchy strap through the central upper vent on my Giro helmet and looped it around facing forward. Boom! Instant headlight.

    Both the flashing and the steady light settings are bright enough to be seen in daylight. And it does the job to make me visible to others at night. It has no effect on illuminating the road ahead of me (city lights wash it out), but it is bright enough to help me see what I'm doing to unlock my bike. And it does just fine for complying with the headlight side of the white in front/red in back night time riding law. The orange light body also lights up amber when seen from the side. And the best part is, I can't forget it on my bike and have it stolen.

    I haven't had this light long enough to speak to it's durability, weatherproof, or battery life, but it's so cheap that I didn't think my lack of knowledge was worth dropping a star.
