Comments about Joby Gorillapod Hybrid Camera Tripod:
I'm a "hard grader" of nearly everything in life, so it's not very often I give five stars, but this product is about as good as something can be. I Use this with an Olympus SP-350 with a short lens that weighs only 8 oz. Probably could have used the smaller version but this is one recommended. At 6.5 ounces the tripod weighs almost as much as the camera. I'm a minimalist backpacker so the weight is not insigificant, but this sure beats balancing my cmaera on rocks, twigs, pine conees to take group shots. The level is a great feature to get your shots plumb. The only hint I have for users is to keep the level on thesame side as the knob on the ball joint. Otherwise, tightening the knob tends to tip the level a bit. Great product, well built and engineered. The Hybrid legs are long enough to wrap around a 3" diameter limb, sign post, or railing and hold securely.
