Comments about Amphipod HandPod SmartView iPhone/iPod touch Pouch:

While there are small things I would change if I was the developer of this product, it works really well overall and its the only phone holder I've come across that is meant for the hand, not the arm. Duh. I have an iPhone and switch between iMapMyRun and my music while running, and want/need a way to have my phone in hand.

Minor complaints/improvements I'd like to see:
The plastic over the screen works pretty well - sometimes its not as responsive as i would like, but overall its good. Also, I get glare in bright sun, but I'm not sure if that could be avoided if the manufacturer chose a different plastic.

The strap can cet hard to grip when its at the largest hand size - not enough sticks out from the buckle.

The external pocket could use a zipper or velcro closure.

The headphone ports are not very elegant - just holes in the fabric. I know they are trying to fit a wide range of phones with this product, but there must be a better solution. I've gone to wireless Motorola headphones, so that's no longer a problem for me, but given the number of runners with iPhones, as opposed to other smartphones - it would be nice to see a cleaner way to plug in.

BUT, the above are all minor compared to the overall goodness and uniqueness of this product. If I could give it a 4.5 stars, that would be more accurate, but I would like to see this product thrive and be refined, so I'll give it a 5. :-)

This is a great product. I have always used armbands or simply carried my digital music player (in this case either an iPhone or iPod), but after a fall nearly destroyed my electronics, I went searching for something else. This product keeps my gadget secured where it can be manipulated easily (changing volume, selecting songs, managing programs) and is easy to see thanks to the huge window on front. It can be secured to the palm or the back of my hand, is comfortable, adjustable, and sleek. My only problem with this product is that it didn't improve my time nor does it dispense frosty beverages on command, but I'm sure v2.0 will take care of that!
