The REI Trail 25 daypack is designed for comfort and easy access to your gear while on the trail.
- Largely made from 100% recycled PET polyester fabric
- Post-consumer recycled PET polyester is tough enough to endure the daily grind
- Fully padded back panel features additional contact-point padding at scapula and lumbar region
- Dual-density, foam-padded and sculpted shoulder straps feature an integrated safety whistle on the adjustable sternum strap
- Main compartment holds the essentials and accommodates a hydration reservoir of your choice, with 2 exit ports so tube can be routed on either side (reservoir not included)
- Front pocket features a key-keeper clip and an organizer for compass, lip balm, wallet, sunglasses and other small essentials
- Side mesh pockets provide convenient storage and on-the-go access to water bottle, sunscreen, snacks or small electronics

I bought the 2008 version of this pack and have used it on many, many day-hikes since then. It's a workhorse - I regularly carry a lot of water for my dog and myself, so I appreciate having both a pouch for a big hydration bag and the side pockets for the dog's water bottle and her ... clean-up equipment. The interior is roomy, but cinch straps help keep the load manageable when I don't need to pack much. I've jammed this thing full on day-long winter hikes and taken just the basics in warm weather. It is holding up well - I expect to put many more miles on it before it's done.
