Comments about FalconGuides Hiking Guide and Trail Map Bundle: Shenandoah National Park:
I don't like this brand of map in general. The scale is way too small to be very useful, streams, side trails and other distinguishing features are often not on the map, and the company puts boxes of text over large areas on the map they assume you won't use--but I walk offtrail fairly often and need to check offtrail terrain. The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club makes MUCH better and more accurate maps of this area. It's worth it to buy the three PATC maps rather than deal with a map that is pretty useless and take the chance of getting lost.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
