Comments about Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All-Season Sleeping Pad:
This is simply a great sleep pad by Thermarest. It's got an excellent R-value and is very comfortable. See my short video review to learn more.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All-Season Sleeping Pad:
After much research and wondering why I would pay more for a pad than I did for my sleeping bag, I went ahead and ordered one. And after a weekend backpacking trip in the lower Hermosa, CO trail area, I was sure glad I did. It packs small and light which is much more of a concern to me the older I get. Its the size of a liter bottle literally. The tent was on several inches of snow and temps were down past 15 degrees. I was completely warm with this pad and could feel the warmth it held between it and the sleeping bag. I also appreciated the thickness and didn't notice the lumpy packed snow and pinecones frozen to the ground that I was laying on. It does make some noise when you move around, like crumpling paper, but the advantages it provided more than made up for that. My buddy had some other pad and not only was he uncomfortable from the rough ground, but moisture and cold made their way up through his pad to his bag, which makes for a miserable night that high up and that cold. Luckily he had a good bag. Bottom line...best backpacking purchase I made recently.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All-Season Sleeping Pad:
Was in snow conditions for two nights, temps down in teens. Upgraded from foam to this and is my first inflatable and love it! Price scared me, but worth every penny. I am a side sleeper @ 185 LBS. Had the best sleep yet on this. Used with a OR Bivy and REI Radiant zero degree bag.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All-Season Sleeping Pad:
I have many sleeping pads and I find this one to be the most comfortable. Not self inflating and I found the included pump to be more trouble than it's worth, but it inflated quickly with a few puffs. It was in the low 20's and I never felt any cold creeping up through the pad and unlike the other review, I heard no noise at all (I should add that I'm a VERY heavy sleeper). It is a little narrow, but I'm a small guy so this wasn't an issue for me. I slept like a log all night. It's relatively light and packs small, so for me, a definite winner.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All-Season Sleeping Pad:
I used the NeoAir for the first time this weekend snow camping and it worked perfectly. With the pad you didn't even know you were sleeping on the snow. It is easy to adjust the amount of air that is in the pad even when you are laying down on it. The pad is light weight easy to roll up and fits into the stuff sack without a fight. Takes a little time to inflate but it's well worth it. I can't wait for the next outing.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All-Season Sleeping Pad:
I slept on this in my living room and found it very comfortable. I could feel the warmth radiating up from the pad soon after lying down. The pad is also light and packs to a small size.
Unfortunately, I found the pad a bit noisy whenever I moved, especially when I rolled over. I assume it's the pad's reflective material that sounds like crinkling plastic. I tried to get used to the noise but it kept waking me up whenever I rolled over. Apparently, the sound doesn't bother other reviewers though, so you may want to order the pad and try it for yourself.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All-Season Sleeping Pad:
I have had many sleeping pads. Was looking for something light but warm for backpacking and motorcycle camping. I am always for light and packable but want give up comfort this pad is the ticket.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All-Season Sleeping Pad:
The 1 Star rating that I have given this bag is solely based on its failure during a recent backpacking trip on the AT in Tennessee. I have used this pad approximately 20 nights. Until this recent trip it has been superb...comfortable, compact, light weight...everything great. HOWEVER, even though I treat my lightweight gear very gingerly and have been very careful with the NeoAir, it failed. The pad developed a slow and undectable leak. Given this, no matter how good the pad, I consider it unacceptable and potentially dangerous in very cold situations.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All-Season Sleeping Pad:
Over the years, I've gone from solid Ensolite pads (cut down to 60%) to the early inflatables, the self-inflators, and most recently to this ultra-light inflator. The Neoair is thick enough to be comfortable on pretty much any surface and warm enough for 3 seasons. I used it at 30F under a 35 year old North Face 20F bag, and it was fine. Its true benefit, however, is its light weight and compactness. No more rolled solid foam on the outside of the pack. This one rolls down into a 3.5 liter stuff sack inside my pack, where it's safe from damage or loss. My only complaint is that it's a pain to inflate, which is why I sprang for a small battery (AAA) powered inflator from Camp-Tek. Fits the valve perfectly and fills the mattress quickly. I'll put up with the few extra ounces for the convenience. My wife has a Big Agnes, which is warmer, but bulkier. You can't go wrong with either. The Neoair seems "crinkly" in the store, but when you're tired, you'll never notice it unless you're a very light sleeper. Definitely a worthwhile purchase even at the crazy prices they're asking for air mattresses these days.

Comments about Therm-a-Rest NeoAir All-Season Sleeping Pad:
The spec's are right on: light, compact, comfortable, etc. However, every time I'd move on the pad, with or without my sleeping bag, it would make a lot of noise. It not only bothered me consistently throughout the night, but also my partners, who were more than 30 years away.
