        I had the same exact thing happen to mine. The strap that connects to the waist belt just started to fray off. Also did not care for the belt strap construction. Every trail run with it I was fighting to keep it from riding up. I was very disappointed as Camelbak has never let me down before...had my first one for 9 years!

        Bought this pack because of the amount of storage capacity and I liked the idea of the lumbar reservoir. After 8 runs the right shoulder strap separated from where it attached to the hip belt. The left shoulder strap had also started to tear away from the hip belt. Also not too easy to refill the reservoir when you are in a hurry.

        REI made it right with their 100% satisfaction guarantee.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
