Great backpack for day hikes. Especially if you are like me and prefer to have everything but the kitchen sink with you.

The one con is that is is quite bulky in comparison to the amount of space that is has. Overall a good pack, but I would go a size smaller if you want a all-purpose day hike pack. (I also have a small pack).

I really wanted to like this bag. Unfortunately, if you are a petite girl (I'm 5'4", 125 pounds), this bag is NOT for you. It is too big. The biggest problem is that it pulls down too much on the collarbone and the center of the back. I returned it seeing that it would cause a lot of pain during my hikes. Instead I got the Gregory Maya bag - a much better fit for a petite girl. I will say this bag has a lot of nice features - perhaps better for someone a bit taller. I recommended trying it out at home before going on a hike.
