I tightened the nuts for the clamps a little before I left on my 40 mile adventure...not one single slip on the adjustments. No blisters, my hands felt fine, These are the plastic handles not cork. Love them, very nice. Quality is definately there.

I bought these for a Basecamp trek and they were amazing, light,and stayed locked. My guide really liked them, in fact when my trek was over, i gave them to my guide. I will be getting another set.
