For the price, I would put these poles against any of the more expensive poles you can buy. Sure, you could get a little lighter weight and more expensive but these poles are very sturdy and you can adjust the flip locks even with gloves.

This is my first set of flip lock poles and after years and years of using twist locks I am glad I made the switch.

Twist locks are great but you have a tendency to want to over tighten them, making them difficult to loosen especially in cold weather when using a glove that lets the lock just slip through the hand. The flip locks are quick, smooth and easy to adjust wearing gloves in cold weather. Excellent Purchase.

So these are among the first things I bought when I began to get gear for my trip to Kilimanjaro, these trekking poles are fantastic. The cork grips I was told by one of the sales people at rei are second to none in regards to grip. They worked wonderfully on the whole trek, They are also easy to adjust and very lightweight. Don't leave for a hike without em!

The wrist straps tend to slip out a bit when weight is placed downward on them. Great poles overall though. The lower webbing grip makes a good hand-hold for water crossings. Lock system does keep sections from slipping as much as twist systems slip over time. The ergo angle is a great add.

Used these poles on an AT hike up and down over a variety of terrains. They held up wonderfully and made the backpacking much easier. Love the cork grips and the forward tilt of the handles.

I got these to replace a hiking staff I had been using. This is my first venture into using two poles and I couldn't be happier to have made the switch. I have used these on two long day hikes (7 and 9 miles) - well, long for me at least. The cork grips are great and the ergo angle is very comfortable. Be aware that these do not come with tip covers or walking tips. I did take it down one star because some vibration shock is transmitted up to the grips. As a beginner hiker/backpacker, that may be the norm and it did not really adversley affect my comfort. I am very happy with these.

These poles are a must for any hike or pack trip. They provide great stabiity and are lightweight enough so that I don't even notice the weight when I'm not using them. They have been through a lot since I got them and they barely show any wear. The cork gripe feels great against the palm after a long hard day of hiking and the cork never gets slick.
