Comments about REI Urban Sling Laptop Bag - Special Buy:
I commute to work by bike and by bus, so I use this bag to hold everything from files, and books to first aide kit and iPod Touch. The bag fits over the right shoulder only.
The vertical pockets on the outside took a bit getting used to (left unzipped, things fall out, a lot). The water bottle placed on the mesh outside pocket tends to fall out without much provocation (appreciate having the water bottle pocket generally). My sunglasses barely fit inside the side pocket made for them. Would be nice to have some sort of spring loaded tether on the key fob to make the keys usable without detaching from the bag. Otherwise, I have been quite pleased with the bag. Main compartment is very roomy. It might benefit from some further compartmentalization in the main compartment (hunting for things in the bottom can be bothersome).

Comments about REI Urban Sling Laptop Bag - Special Buy:
Very comfortable way to carry your stuff. Sling it over a shoulder and go!
All in all, I'm very happy with this bag at the discount price. I don't think it has the capacity I'd like out of the bag at full price, but on discount, I'd say this bag is GREAT!
Fits my laptop, two go-flex (2.5 form factor) external hard drives, power supplies, a handful of random cables and other odds and ends... For the average person this should be more than enough space (however I work in IT and tend to have above average gadgetry needs and have more stuff to carry around than the "average bear").
Love the sling style and adjustments you can make for easy to use fit that is still secure. Sleek styling and good construction as well.
Main Con: It fits all of the hardware I want, but not all of the cables I need/want to bring along. Bulky power adapters with plugs that don't fold down are the bane of my existance, but regardless, need to be accomodated for.
It would also be nice if the exterior had a couple of exterior loops for clipping on small items too. Granted, said loops would make it look less sleek, but it would improve function.
