Smooth and speedy, the GT Series 3 road bike lets you put miles in the bank without breaking it, offering a carbon fork, efficient aluminum frame and Shimano Tiagra components.

Aluminum frame utilizes a hydroformed tubeset to enhance efficiency and help reduce weight; geometry lends itself to responsive handling
Carbon fork helps keep weight to a minimum and absorbs energy-draining road vibrations
Shimano Tiagra levers and derailleurs work to provide seamless shifts so you can focus your energy through the FSA Vero compact crankset and 20 gear combinations

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Comments about GT Series 3 Bike - 2012:

Hands down this bike is amazing for the price. Everyone I ride with is putting in so much more effort on their bikes. The only thing I plan to really change is the handlebar wraps. White was a terrible idea. They may list this as a entry level race bicycle but I am having no problem keeping up with my friends on their over budget 3k bikes. Simply put I love it!
