The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Scarpa Helix Rock Shoes - Women's:
I started rock climbing last year, but am still in the beginner/novice stages. I've done most of my climbing outside, but have started to do more indoors.
My challenge with climbing shoes is that I have feet that are slightly wider than average with high arches. I read all the reviews online before going to the store and thought for sure I would end up with the La Sportiva Nago shoes. I tried those on and liked them a lot at first impression. However, wanting to make sure I tried on all the options, I went through pretty much every pair and style they had in stock.
When I tried these on, I realized this would be the shoe to beat, and nothing compared. It was the slightly higher arch and the somewhat wider toe box that really felt good.
They are sensitive enough for my needs (not too aggressive) and my feet don't hurt after climbing. Again, I am still only climbing no more difficult than a 5.8 route, so I am not doing anything terribly complex.

Comments about Scarpa Helix Rock Shoes - Women's:
I started off with the Evolv Elektra and they were terrible. I'm not sure if the sizing was off or what but they didn't fit my feet correctly at all. It actually made climbing very painful and not enjoyable. Once I got these Scarpa's I progressed quickly and with no more pain! I would recommend these but I would also recommend that you go to your local shop to actually try different brands on. Don't buy online blindly like I did. I do agree with the other reviewer when they say these shoes are for a slimmer foot and feel true to size. I didn't size down either. I typically wear a 6.5 or a 7 and I ended up getting these shoes in 7 and they fit perfectly.

Comments about Scarpa Helix Rock Shoes - Women's:
I have only been climbing for about three months but on average I am at the gym 5 days a week. I am so addicted! Purchasing these shoes have drastically helped my climbing..but anything beats the gym rentals, really. The first time I climbed with them it was as if the foot holds and wall features came alive and were totally useful to me. Also, awesome for heel hooks- no pain, and no slip off. The one thing I will say about these is that they are just not sticky enough... I can already tell that as I progress I will need a more aggressive shoe and one that has some better grip. But that's exactly what is great about these... not aggressive which makes it easy to get used to climbing with out the pain.
I am an 8.5 in street shoe size and I would say these are true to size. I squeezed my foot into a 7.5 and Im happy I did. Makes it so much easier to find and keep your grip on the wall. But since I did downsize the first few gym sessions in these did leave my feet hurting but since then they rarely cause any problems. I can be climbing for upwards of three hours before I am experiencing abnormal discomfort.
When shopping I did try on quite a few different shoes but found these to be the best fit for my feet. There were shoes that seemed to be for wider feet (evolv) and some that were made for very slender feet (la sportiva) but I would say I have average feet width wise and these were really a perfect fit.
So I hope this helps!
