Compact, light and strong, the single-wall Mountain Hardwear EV 2 tent is designed for the rigors of high altitude expeditions.

    • EV 2 tent's trim design fits on ledges, and its clip set-up aids pitching in high winds; this super strong tent is waterproof, breathable and fire-retardant
    • 4 welded adjustable vents with mesh and zippers provide versatile ventilation options and frost management
    • Integrated vestibule area (not separated from tent) allows space for boots and other items near door while maintaining living space
    • DAC Featherlite® poles have a high strength-to-weight ratio and use extrusions, not inserts, to minimize breakage; poles are anodized without the use of harmful acids
    • Evolution Tension Arch™ technology multiplies structural aspects of the tent skeleton without adding poles or heavy wall fabric
    • Stiff but lightweight fabric spreads the load-bearing capability of the poles over a wide surface area; ribbed wall fabric adds strength while remaining lightweight
    • TXO7 polyurethane fabric (lightweight, strong, non-stretch laminate) reinforcements stabilize and strengthen when pitched
    • 2 clear SVX windows enhance interior brightness and allow visibility of exterior weather conditions
    • Welded zipper flap construction saves weight and stays drier than a sewn flap
    • Reflective zipper pulls enhance nighttime visibility
    • Mountain Hardwear EV 2 has a watertight snow port in its floor that provides an exit point for accumulated frost/snow
    • Superlight 1/4 in. buckles and webbing reduce tent weight

Comments about Mountain Hardwear EV 2 Tent:

Great tent overall, very waterproof and lightweight. We've used this on Baker, Rainier and other snowy endeavors. With two people we can still bring in all our gear, although it's a little tight. Condensation can build up overnight if you don't open all the vents.

Only taking off one star because we did break a pole at the arch. Not sure if it was a defect or our own doing. It was on the Ingraham Flats and pretty cold too.

Overall we really like the tent, we'll be using it for backpacking even in the summertime because it's so lightweight and waterproof.
