Bigger wheels bring bigger fun, and the Raleigh Talus Comp 29er hardtail mountain bike doesn't disappoint, so go ahead and get into your zone on the trails aboard this responsive steed.

  • Butted aluminum frame features a formed downtube for excellent power transfer, durability and handling performance; machined headtube improves strength
  • Suntour Raidon suspension fork offers 80mm of travel and lockout to smooth out rough trails; 15mm QLoc axle offers enhanced stiffness
  • Shimano 27-speed drivetrain features triple cranks and responsive Shadow Deore rear derailleur; trigger shifters deliver snappy, precise shifts
  • Tektro Draco hydraulic disc brakes offer outright stopping power and smooth deceleration no matter the conditions; front rotor is 180mm, rear is 160mm
  • Weinmann XM280 rims are outfitted with the versatile Geax AKA tires for good grip, confident cornering and fast-rolling performance
  • Specs on the Raleigh Talus Comp 29er hardtail mountain bike are subject to change

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Contact your nearest REI bike shop for details and an appointment for this important service.

Rated4out of5byfromGood buy for the moneyThis is a great bike for the money. Had bike for two months have ridden on road and packed trials and have not had a problem . I have up graded the seat and seat post . . That is a must if you have a bad back but that goes with any bike. I love the hydraulic brakes. I would recommend this bike to friends

Rated3out of5byfromNot sure if I got value for the moneyNot sure if this is the bike's fault, but I have had two flats within a month of purchase. Was not due to rough terrain. Question the quality of the tires/tubes. Some creaking noises during "break-in" period.

Rated5out of5byfromFast FunI use this bike to get back and fourth to work. (4.5 miles) It has really good brakes and gears. I have clocked it at 28 mph down the hill. So far I have only had it on the trails once, but it held up well.
