      We went on a cruise and I bought it for my fiance. It turns out that the hat folds up nice and small so we could keep it in a small bag (simalar to the ChicoBag Hobo which I recomend for any trip). It offers enough shade for the head and neck which is importand to us since she has very fare skin. It also was big enough to accomodate her hair up in a bun.
