        I was impressed by the workmanship and construction of this hat. It feels comfortable to wear because it is well ventilated. Have not tried to wash it. I don't tamper with a good thing for worry of messing it up.

          This hat does it's job well. It is well made and has a rugged feel to it. The hat kept my head cool on the trail, although I did notice that I would sweat past the sweat band and into the hat material, but I also have no hair to stop the sweat, so it is to be expected. While taking short rests, I could flip up the sweat band and it would dry out fairly quickly. The hat never felt uncomfortable nor did it shift on my head while on the trail. I never made use of the strap (which I tied up onto itself to keep it out of the way) or the side snaps, but both features seem to be quality. Overall, A. The only thing I would add is a wire rim so the brim could be shaped.

              I bought this hat for my frequent Jeep trips. When the top is down and the doors are off in the Tucson desert, the sun is pretty relentless. The wind can be an annoyance as well. This hat solves both of those problems. The very sturdy bill holds it's shape even at highway speeds, plus the vented top is much needed in 100+ weather. Well constructed hat at a great price.
