Included waterproof Polar WearLink® Hybrid transmitter sends the heart rate signal to the training watch; comfortable chest strap secures the transmitter
Waterproof WearLink Hybrid heart rate transmitter can be worn while you swim to track your heart rate during workout sessions at the pool or in the ocean
Coded heart rate transmission locks in a code to transmit your heart rate to the watch, thereby reducing interference from other training watches
Watch offers average, minimum and maximum heart rate during total exercise time; includes time spent in target zone
Visual and audible alarm alerts you every time your heart rate exceeds the upper limit or falls below the lower limit of your target zone
5 preset sport zones offer an easy way to select and monitor the intensity of your training; choose between very light, light, moderate, hard and maximum sport zones

I use it mainly for running, I wanted to take my training to the next level and need more training stats. The auto sync to polar website works great. Easy to setup different sports/activities and switch between them.
I've just scratched the surface with this, well worth the investment.
