Taking care of your feet is arguably the most important part of your trip plan on the trail. I have purchased, and abused, dozens of pairs of these merino socks. My wife uses them, all three of my kids use them, and we all swear by them as the first thing we pack for any footbased trip in the woods. Durable, comfortable, quick to dry out, don't smell like synthetic socks do when wet.
These socks are just my all around most trustworthy trail gear.

I just got two pairs of these socks, and I already wish I'd bought more. They're nice and soft, and keep my feet very warm (especially when you consider how non-bulky they are). I just used them to go on a 1.5 mile hike, and my feet were quite warm the entire way. I also use them just in general to help keep my feet warm when I'm up during colder nights. Would definitely recommend these!
