Comments about REI Mojave +15 Down Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:
I used this sleeping bag for backpacking and car camping. It packs a little large as it is puffy but you can easily press it and fit other things in your backpack.
It leaks one or two down here and there but it is not really a big deal.
The zipper snags going up and down.
I have enjoyed having it very much. It is so cozy and pleasant that a lot of times I don't even go inside. I just throw it on me like a blanket and still keep warm. If you pull the zipper up, it is still roomy and big inside.
I don't think the other comments about the temperature rating is correct. I have never had any issue with it.

Comments about REI Mojave +15 Down Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:
I used this bag for a backpacking trip in early May at Rocky Mountain National Park. It had no problem being comfortable and warm in the 50 degree night we had the first night but as we gained elevation, we woke up at the next site to 4" of snow. It had been snowing all night (I thought it was drizzle) and to my surprise, I had no idea given how warm I was in my bag. I was using a non insulated sleeping pad, a tent with footprint, and I did go to bed that night with long underwear on and a thin sock. The temps that night got down to the 20s and I was more than comfortable. If I needed any warmth, I could have just added layers of clothing, or stuffed the footbox with extra clothes.
It packs fairly small, I pack my down bag into a Sea Line 10L compression dry bag to prevent it from getting wet and take up minimal space. I have seen more expensive down bags weigh less and take up less room but for a little over $100 for a 2 lb +15 bag you really can't complain.
I have noticed that it occasionally leaks some down. From the reviews, it made me nervous about the amount of down people were reporting to lose but I havent really noticed anything alarming at this point. The good thing about REI is that you can return a product no matter what. I am about to bring this bag to the U.P. of Michigan for a week of tent camping and I have no doubts it will keep me warm into the low temps again.

Comments about REI Mojave +15 Down Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:
Overall this is a pretty good sleeping bag, my main problem with this bag is that it leaks alot of material. Went car camping with my girlfriend and it left alot of down on our air mattress. Compared to my girlfriends sleeping bag which didnt appear to leak material at all. The temperature rating is off, but I find that pretty common. I'd say anything under 30 and this bag can get a cold.

Delivery was quite fast. My son and I used the sleeping bags we purchased for a weekend backpacking trek along the Appalachian Trail. We hardly felt the weight of the bag and it was warm and comfortable to sleep in at night.

I like this bag now after two years of using it. It does leak some down but all bags will in my opinion. It keeps me warm with the a base layer on. It held out for temps at 22 degrees. I stayed toasty. I do miss not having the pillow hood (where you can put the pillow inside your hood) but it does have a good zipper baffle. I like this bag.

Comments about REI Mojave +15 Down Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:
I have used this exclusively as my sleeping bag for two years of backpacking. I have used it when the outside temp was 17 degrees and I was still able to sleep fine with a warm base layer and warm socks. This is not the lightest or most compressible bag but I have used it and loved it through dozens of backpacking trips and it performs wonderfully. Great buy especially at the REI outlet price!

Comments about REI Mojave +15 Down Sleeping Bag - Regular - Special Buy:
Unfortunately this bag fell very short in quality and functionality for several reasons. First, the bag leaks down way more than normal. I am not talking a few feathers here and there, but a slowly cover your gear with feathers time after time. It also is not true to its temp rating. I used this in 25 deg Fahrenheit and was very cold. I was using a sufficient insulated pad and cinched the baffle tight but this bag did not perform well.
This would work fine when leaking feathers don't bother you and where conditions don't dip below 35 Fahrenheit. I love REI products but this one is a failure.
